Jean-Luc Mélenchon

Jean-Luc Mélenchon was born in Morocco in 1951. He was for many years a leading member of the French Socialist Party, serving as a minister in the government of Lionel Jospin. He broke with the Socialists in 2008 and founded the organisation that is now La France Insoumise.
